Laminate Floating Floor in Branford, CT

The homeowner had an older tile floor in their kitchen and breakfast area that was cracked, discolored, and hard to keep clean. Rather than doing extensive repairs to the existing tile, they decided to have Neal’s remove the tile and install a new laminate floating floor.

During the rip-up phase, there was an unexpected change to the job. There had been a water leak at the back door for a number of years which had gone undetected. It was obvious that the current sub floor had to be replaced before continuing the installation. Neal’s carpenter was able to replace the existing subfloor with new material.

After ripping up the existing tile and repairing the sub-floor, Neal’s installed Armstrong Stones and Ceramics Weathered Way/Earthen Copper laminate flooring. The entire project was completed in 2 days.

The new interlocking design of the laminate material makes it extremely easy to clean. There's no messy grout to become discolored and stained – just sweeping and vacuuming will keep it looking like new.
